4-tert-butylaniline reacts with formic acid to generate formic acid-(4-tert-butylaniline). This reaction can take place under heating conditions in the presence of toluene solvent. 4-tert-butylaniline is used in Chemicalbook to synthesize 4-tert-butyl-4,4-dinitrotriphenylamine, a novel triphenylamine-containing diamine monomer and 2-oxopyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine- 5(6H)-one.It is mainly used as an acid dye intermediate, and also used in the synthesis of pesticides, medicines, etc.
